You may think to yourself thats a pretty ambitious goal... I mean how many people actually become a self made multi-millionaire within a life time, let alone before they turn 25? Probably not many...
I have always grown up wanting more out of life, I am not sure why, it's just the way I have always been. My desire of becoming financially independent was really boosted at the age of 15 after reading Rich Dad Poor Dad. Since that point in my life I have always looked for ways to develop passive income... and tested a few ideas as well.
Along the way I have met great people and learned more than I ever could have hoped, my advice to anyone thinking of improving their life is to start anywhere and start now. If I had waited for the perfect moment to start my journey, I still wouldn't have taken the first step and I would have non of the experience, knowledge or contacts I do today.
So WHY a multi-millionaire and WHY before 25 years of age? Well.... Why Not?
We live in a day and age where there are an abundance of opportunities and ways to create wealth, the hard part is to pick the right one for you. The only way you will ever know if something is for you or not, is to try it. You can never compare the success or otherwise of someone else to what you are able to achieve. Find something you feel comfortable with and give it a shot! Provided it has a low start up cost, you really have nothing to lose... but everything to gain.
I encourage anyone who is interested in achieving great things in their life to surround yourself with like minded people and find yourself a mentor who has walked the walk, not just talks the talk.

Hey Corey... I'm the poorest bastard ever. At the moment I have the internet, phone, gas and electricity disconnected (writing this from uni computer), but I couldn't be happier. Despite all your apparent motivational and self improvement know-how, shouldn't you come to terms with the fact that materialism will not satisfy you? Becoming a millionaire will make you want to become a billionaire. Where does it stop? Embrace contentment - whatever your financial situation.

Dear Guardian Angel,
ReplyDeleteI am glad you have found contentment in being broke and without phone, gas, electricity or internet. It takes a special kind of person to be happy and content with very little. I may not be a strong as you in that regard. All I can say is that I would be a lot happier with my phone, electricity and internet connected than I would without it. Also I am very passionate about helping others who are in need. Without having money to spare, I will be unable to help anyone. A great saying I once heard is this "If you want to help the poor... don't be one of them.
I can understand that material items aren't everything, and I don't wish to convey that they are but unless you live an abundant life you cannot give to others as you have nothing extra to give. If you can;t feed yourself and your family, how can you feed another?
So all in all I say, be grateful for what you have, as there are many people with less. But keep in mind being poor and happy doesn't really help anyone, if you live in a civilized country where opportunities are great, you are actually a burden on society as every hard working person works to support you. So why not make a lot, so you can give a lot?
